Popasquash Island, about 0.5 miles offshore from the Town of Saint Albans, is a breeding island for Common Terns in Lake Champlain. It is one of the islands in the Common Tern Island Complex Important Bird Area. Other islands in this IBA are Grammas Island, Hen Island, and Rock Island.
