Long Mountain is a prominent landmark in Easthampton. It is part of the Mount Tom Range, a series of hills and ridges that run along the east bank of the Connecticut River. Long Mountain has an elevation of 1,280 feet and has views of the surrounding area. The mountain is popular among hikers, bikers, and birdwatchers. Long Mountain is also home to several historical sites, such as the ruins of an old quarry and a stone tower built in 1939 by the Civilian Conservation Corps.
The 110-mile Metacomet-Monadnock Trail and the 47-mile Robert Frost Trail traverse the mountain.
