Pittsfield Cemetery was established in 1850 as the third cemetery in Pittsfield, after the New Town Cemetery and the Old Burial Ground, which are both defunct. The cemetery is a good example of a rural cemetery, with a rolling landscape, winding paths, and ornamental features. The cemetery covers about 100 acres and has over 19,000 memorials. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.
The entrances to Pittsfield Cemetery are on Onota Street and Campbell Street.
