Tips for Birding

There is one parking spot southwest of Chapel Road on the south side at an electrical junction box. Otherwise, there may be a couple wide spots in the shoulder to pull over. Birding is only from the road, and there is a fair amount of traffic here. 

Birds of Interest

The wetland draws species that like a riparian edge, as well as wetland dependent species. American Woodcock were seen crossing the road, warblers were in the trees, and a Bald Eagle flew over.

About this Location

Feylers Corner Road is a mostly forested road in Waldoboro with a few open fields. It is possible this hotspot is linked to a homesite. Near the intersection with Chapel Road, Alford Brook has a large wetland meadow north of the road offering a diversity of habitats.
