Rodney Palmer Environmental Study Area, Cornish

Cornish, New Hampshire 03745

About this Location

Rodney Palmer Environmental Study Area is located across the street from the Cornish Fairgrounds on Town House Road in Cornish. This is a nice trail that is not well-known to people outside the area. The trailhead is obvious and it has parking available at the entrance or across the street at the Cornish Town Hall.

There is a big sign in the woods for the "Rodney Palmer Environmental Study Area 1991" Follow the trail marked "Mike's Trail" and continue into the woods. Continue walking over a wooden bridge that takes you over a swamp/marshy area. This is a peaceful area and you may see a beaver-chewed area on the bridge. Follow the trail all the way out and it will take you into a field that connects to South Parsonage Road. If you don't want to walk back through the trail, take South Parsonage Road back out to Townhouse Road just up from where you parked.
