In the heart of Brockton, D.W. Field Park remains a place of gentle solace to the residents of Brockton and all those who enter its gates. Its gentle slopes, many ponds, native trees, and wildlife remind all that see it of a time, not so long ago when Brockton was a small mainly farming community.
D.W. Field Park was donated to the City of Brockton by Daniel Waldo Field. The Park covers 700 acres, with 7 miles of paved roadway, that encompass the park.
It is well maintained by the non-profit D.W. Field Park Association which offers those interested memberships for a donation fee and events that defer the costs of maintaining its beauty for generations to come.
