Villanueva State Park is nestled between high sandstone bluffs that form a canyon along the Pecos River near the small Village of Villanueva. Camp or picnic under the shade of giant cottonwood trees. Enjoy fishing, birding, wildflower viewing, or hiking the trails along the canyon walls. A group shelter is available to rent and makes a great place for gatherings and reunions. Remember, the Village of Villanueva is a small historic town. Please obey the posted speed limit and drive slowly through the community.
The park is located on NM-3 between I-40 and I-25.
