Because this is a rather exclusive venue, birders are usually there for some other reason, and it is not generally open to the public.

Holman Ranch is a private estate that can be booked for weddings, family gatherings, or corporate retreats, and also has private rooms and a winery. Winery visits are by appointment. Established in 1928, there have been different focuses of the ranch over time, but it does have fine oak woodlands, chaparral, and views of Carmel Valley and the Santa Lucia Mountains.

Nice mix of oak savanna and chaparral birds. In some winters, huge numbers of American Robins may roost on or adjacent to the property.
