Bow Lake covers 1,149 acres and has a maximum depth of 65 feet. It is fed by Sherburne Brook and drains into the Isinglass River, which eventually reaches the Atlantic Ocean via the Cocheco and Piscataqua rivers. Bow Lake is popular for swimming, boating, and fishing, and hosts a variety of fish species, including trout, bass, and pickerel. The lake also has a rich history and wildlife, as it was once used for mill power and is now home to loons and eagles.

There are two boat ramps that provide access to the lake.
