From late May on through the summer, Encino Road. is a hotspot for Bendire's Thrashers. Right at the pin is the spot where they are most commonly seen, but the best way to find them is just to go right around sunrise and cruise Encino Road. This beats the heat, and the birds are only singing for a short period of time in the morning. Look and listen carefully, as Curve-billed Thrashers are also common.
