The Merrill S. Whipple Conservation Area consists of two contiguous parks: the Merrill S. Whipple Conservation Park and the Sandy Acres Recreation Area. The Merrill S. Whipple entrance is located off of Whipple Court and the Sandy Acres entrance is located off of Sandy Bottom Road (also known as RI-33). Usually there is an outhouse available at the Sandy Acres entrance. A portion of the trail and boardwalk from the Sandy Acres entrance is ADA compliant and leads to a vista of the southern branch of the Pawtuxet River.
The AllTrails website has a map and description of a hike at the Merrill S. Whipple Conservation Park.
