Chadds Ford Marsh

Chadds Ford Marsh

Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania 19317

Tips for Birding

Two main options for birding;

  1. For a quick scan of the marsh with a good view of the water for most ducks in winter, the go-to spot used to be behind Hank’s Place which is unfortunately no longer open. However, the lot across from theSanderson Museum on the west side has a good view for waterfowl as well when the museum is not open. Check museum hours at sandersonmuseum.org
  2. For a good walk through the marsh trail, either park at the Chadds Ford Historical Society or start from the Brandywine Museum of Art. The path gets muddy and wet easily and goes under a bridge, so be prepared.
