Access to this Nature Area requires climbing a fence. One can bird the perimeter from the Rotary Greenway Trail or the Ninth Line.

Location and Use
The Ninth Line Nature Area is located in the north tip of Trent University Symons Campus, between the Rotary Greenway Trail to the west and Ninth Line (road) to the east.
Trails, Access, and Points of Interest
The Ninth Line Nature Area offers no trails. Trent University land within this nature area is leased to a farmer for pasturing cattle, along with other surrounding field and woodlands. Access requires climbing over a wire fence, which contains the cattle.
Physical Description
This area is mostly level with a wetland portion and a forest/field portion.
Ecosystems and Species
The area contains several groves of sugar maple, American beech, and white cedar. Some of these trees are impressive in size.
Environmental Concerns
Cattle presence will have some impact on the area, as will any road construction on Ninth Line.

This Nature Area was established in 1994.
There are no trails in this Nature Area.
