Promise Rock Nature Area is open to the public and is a small natural area sandwiched between the Rotary Greenway Trail (east), Nassau Mills Rd (west), Lock 23 (north) and Lock 22 (south).

It consists of a network of narrow, dirt trails criss-crossing the wooded property. There is access from the parking lot at Lock 22 or from a few trails off of the Rotary Greenway Trail.
