This is the major waste management facility for the City of Peterborough, sometimes referred to as the Bensfort Rd Landfill Site. The main attraction for birders is the sometimes large number of gulls that congregate here (and may be visible when roosting on nearby fields). Large numbers of Turkey Vultures can also be present here. See the official website for hours but you will be required to ask for permission to enter the site to bird (not usually done).
