Wendell Marsh State Waterfowl Management Area is comprised of a roughly equal amount of marsh and oak-pine forest. The biggest attraction to the property is access to the dam and marsh for waterfowl hunting, canoeing, kayaking, and fishing.
Common wildlife includes waterfowl and wetland songbirds such as the red-winged blackbird, marsh wren, and swamp sparrow.
There is car top access is off of NH-11. From the NH-103B and NH-11 intersection in the center of Sunapee, head west on NH-11. Travel 1.2 miles. A gravel driveway to the dam and parking area will be on your right.
