Birds of Interest Contains priority species including breeding Bell’s Vireo, breeding Painted Bunting, Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Summer Tanager, and breeding Orchard Oriole.

About this Location

The habitat of the Delaware River is a scrub riparian area with remnant cottonwood and willow. Recently purchased by the BLM. One of the few sites in Eddy County with native cottonwood/riparian area left.

Go south of Malaga on US-285 to a wash that the road crosses just before the New Mexico-Texas border.
