A spotting scope can be handy for viewing waterfowl far up river.
In winters with lots of ice cover on the Otonabee River, this location can have open water and be a good location to spot over-wintering waterfowl.
The boat ramp is at the south end of Monaghan Road where it turns into Johnston Drive. It provides a good vantage point to view waterfowl both up and down river.
There is a parking area adjacent to the river just to the southwest at the stop sign along Johnston Drive where it meets Crawford Drive.
There is No Parking at the boat ramp. Please do not block access.
