Granite Gorge Ski Area is located south of Franklin Pierce Highway (NH-9) on Otter Creek. It is a small downhill ski resort located on Pinnacle Mountain in Roxbury. It was formerly known as Pinnacle Peak Ski Area, which operated from 1959 to 1977. The ski area has a vertical drop of 525 feet and offers skiing, riding, terrain parks, lessons, and snow tubing. It also has a 40-acre site with cross-country ski trails. Granite Gorge Ski Area has one chairlift, one rope tow, and one magic carpet, as well as snowmaking capabilities. The ski area is open from December to March and hosts various events throughout the season.
