More ducks, geese, grebes, gulls and loons are present through the winter from early November until early May. Bring a spotting scope, binoculars and your camera. The morning sun will be directly in your eyes and the late afternoon sun will be on your back.

During January and February, the water surface is often covered by a layer of ice. The conditions can change from day to day depending on the temperature and the wind direction. Washrooms are available at the Suncor Angora building in Centennial Park.
