Holyoke Heritage State Park is a history-oriented state park located in the city of Holyoke. The park opened in 1986 on the site of the William Skinner Silk Mill, which was destroyed by fire in 1980. The park's Visitor Center features exhibits that showcase the town's industrial and cultural past, such as the blend of people and cultures, the slideshow of Holyoke's history, and the canals that powered the mills. The park also includes other attractions, such as the Children's Museum, the Holyoke Merry-Go-Round, and the Volleyball Hall of Fame. The park is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and admission is free to the Visitor Center. The park is managed by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation.
