Tips for Birding

This one-acre urban park straddles Spring River Parkway, a jogging and biking trail roughly following the Spring River waterway course. Spring River forms the western boundary of the park, which is bounded on the east by North Missouri Avenue. “River” is a bit of an exaggeration given that even in wet times there is little water flowing through what in the park appears as a deep, somewhat weedy, concrete-lined channel.   The park is surrounded by houses, offices, and public buildings, many with large trees. The Roswell Adult Center, west across Missouri Avenue, has a large gravel parking lot on its south side.  There are no restrooms at the park;  the building at the north end serves a local scout troop.  A variety of tree species dot the park.
