Selwyn Beach Conservation Area is located on the northeast shore of Chemong Lake. It is best known for its excellent swimming with a gently sloping sandy beach. It also offers a boat launch and docking facility, a large picnic shelter, group camping area, and hiking trails.

Picnicking

A picnic shelter and accessible washrooms are located near the beach area.

To reserve the picnic shelter at Selwyn Beach Conservation Area, please contact staff at Warsaw Caves Conservation Area. For booking availability and fees contact us at 705-652-3161 or 1-877-816-7604. Bookings are available May to October.

The use of alcohol is not permitted at Selwyn Beach Conservation Area.

Boating and Paddling

Boat launching and docking facilities at Selwyn Beach Conservation Area provide access to Chemong Lake on the Kawartha Lakes and Trent Severn Waterway. There is no charge to launch your boat or to use the boat dock.

Motorized boats are not permitted within the beach area.

Selwyn Beach Conservation Area offers approximately 3 kilometers of hiking trails with natural scenic views, making this an ideal destination for nature viewing. The property has a diverse range of habitats and ecosystems to explore.
