First constructed in 1991, the Manistique Boardwalk extends along 1.8 miles of Lake Michigan shoreline. The boardwalk pathway provides access to a fishing pier, the east breakwater lighthouse, picnic grounds, and great views of the lake and any freighters passing by.
The diverse habitat along the boardwalk includes wooded areas, wetlands, and shoreline that attracts a variety of migrating birds and other wildlife to enjoy.
