The Carter-Moriah Trail climbs up the ridge to the ledgy summit of Mt. Moriah, with excellent views, and then continues South as part of the Appalachian Trail through the Carter-Moriah range.

The trailhead is reached from Gorham by following US-2 East for 0.5 mi. to Bangor Street. Parking only on the left side at the end of the road, just along the edge of the private property.
