The Hoot Toot and Whistle Trail is a multi-use trail that follows the former rail bed of the Hoot, Toot, and Whistle Railway, which operated from 1897 to 1924. The trail starts from Reardon's Bridge in downtown Wilmington and goes along the Deerfield River and Harriman Reservoir for about 3.8 miles until it reaches the Fairview Avenue Boat Launch and Picnic Area.
The AllTrails website has descriptions and maps of hikes on the Hoot Toot and Whistle Trail.
