Drive slowly around the loop, scanning for water birds, or park and walk. On both ends of the parking lot, scope the lake for waterfowl, waders, and other birds. The far shoreline along the parking lot is close enough not to need a scope. There is a farm on the entrance road, close to the boat ramp, where I have seen turkeys in the fields.

This is a fairly busy boat ramp, but there is usually parking available. Please stay clear of boats launching and being trailered.
