About this Location

McKinstry Brook Wildlife Management Area is a 226-acre wildlife management area owned by the Massachusetts State Division of Fisheries and Wildlife, so there are no maintained trails; however, it is an easy hike through the woods. The area experienced severe blowdowns and damage in a 2011 tornado. As a result, the area can no longer be traversed from end to end. Parking is available at two trailheads: Plimpton Street, for the southern section, and Pleasant Street, opposite the airport, for the northern section.
