About this Location

Haile Farm Preserve is the Warren Land Conservation Trust’s largest property. It is located in northern Warren, on the Palmer River to the west of Market Street/Route 136.  Public access is from the end of New Industrial Way. This 61.1-acre property has several habitats, including tidal marshland, red maple woodland, shrub swamps, coastal shrubland, brushy corridors, and field-forest edges. Species observed here include bald eagle, osprey, and deer, as well as a wide variety of insects, plants, mosses, and fungi. Work has been completed here on over a mile of trails, with more to come. Unusually high tides inundate the salt marsh so during and after such tides, the marsh trails will be wet, and after heavy rains, all trails will be moist.
