The Hobart Wildlife Area is a 66 acre wildlife management area located next to the North Raccoon River. It is nearly all forested with public hunting opportunity for deer, wild turkeys, and squirrels.
From Jefferson, west on Highway 30 eight miles to Highway N65. Follow N65 five miles north to 177th Street, then left to parking lot. Upland oak and hickory timber plus 8 acres of crop ground. This is a public hunting area.
