About this Location

Cape Cod Airfield is nestled in the woods between the ocean, lakes, and beaches of Cape Cod. The airfield dates back to the 1920s. It has over 80 acres of open daisy-filled field, 3 grass intersecting runways, 2 hangars, and an old windmill. It was once used as a training field for the Army Air Corps and rumor has it that Amelia Earhart landed here.

The public is invited to stop by and watch the airplanes and skydivers come and go. There is a picnic table, Adirondack chairs to relax in, a biplane rocking horse for the kids, and a Snoopy biplane to ride in.

The airfield parking lot is on Race Lane and there are several pull-off areas on Prospect Street (MA-149).
