Official WebsiteThe Church Property is a 104-acre preserve with a moderate 0.75-mile trail connecting to the town of Edgecomb's Schmid Preserve. the church and Schmid properties are part of a larger network of conserved land called the River-Link system. river-Link provides a recreational trail, wildlife corridor, and greenway that connects the Sheepscot and Damariscotta Rivers.
The River-Link trail begins at Zak Preserve in Boothbay on its southern end and extends about 7 miles to its northern terminus in Newcastle at Dodge Point Preserve, managed by Coastal Rivers Conservation Trust. River-Link is a backcountry trail of moderate difficulty, crossing a network of public and private lands. many hikers prefer to park at the Church Property to access the River-Link trails and car shuttles can be set up between the Church Property and Dodge Point or Zak Preserve.
From the roundabout in Boothbay Center, travel north on ME-27 for about 6 miles; turn right on McKay Road and proceed 0.1 miles. church Property is on the right.
