Tips for Birding

There are multiple wetland viewing areas along RR170. At 5 miles south of Candelaria are smaller shallow wetlands during wet years. Then closer to Candelaria about a mile out is a huge deeper wetland with more open water, reed marsh habitat and a deep channel next to the road. A spotting scope would be helpful.
