The park has built an osprey platform by the upper lake in the hopes of attracting them. Lots of warblers can be found along the trail around the upper lake.
This Carroll County Park requires a $5.00 parking fee per vehicle. There is an extensive day-use area including pavilions, bathrooms, playgrounds, trails, and miniature golf. There is also a campground and a couple of hotel-type units for overnight lodging.
There is a paved trail that goes around the upper lake that is wheelchair accessible. The path around the lower lake is unpaved and fairly rough in places.
