Pajarito Canyon Trail begins near the top of the Nail Trail and starts climbing immediately. After a quarter of a mile, it flattens out some but is still steep. It enters a rocky section and the switchbacks begin for the next mile, as the trail climbs the ridge to the south, then the trail flattens out as it curves around to the top of Pajarito Mountain. The views are great from this trail, but it may be a better downhill for those that are not very fit.
The AllTrails website has a description and map of a hike using the Pajarito Canyon Trail.
