About this Location

Peterson Wildlife Management Area, 11 acres, was donated to New Hampshire Fish and Game by John Peterson in 1975 in order to maintain the property for recreation. This small parcel comprised a portion of Mud Pond and surrounding wetlands to the west.

This property, along with Mud Pond and the surrounding uplands, supports waterfowl such as mallard ducks, Canada geese, and blue herons. Beaver, mink, and muskrat would also be found here.

A pull-off on NH-101E, 0.5 miles east of its intersection with NH-137, provides pedestrian and cartop access to Peterson Wildlife Management Area and Mud Pond.
