About this Location

This park is located at the end of Lake Street in the village of Arcadia. It has a nice deck for viewing the lake and places for the kids to play. The park covers the northern end of the Arcadia Beach Natural Area, which spreads over approximately eight acres to the south, between Lake Michigan and Lake Arcadia.

The area has been preserved through the cooperation of the Natural Resources Trust Fund, the Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy, the Lutheran Camp Association, and Arcadia Township. The area is user-friendly for those who prefer a quiet beach where dogs are welcome and fires allowed (in rings).

There is one grill in the sand, but no picnic tables. One could cook a meal there and take a blanket to eat on or take the food to the deck where there are benches. There are two fire rings on the beach, a nice amenity since many places do not allow fires on the beach.

There is a view of the Lake Michigan shoreline with bench seating on the deck and swinging benches along the beach.
