Sandy Pond is a 62-acre Great Pond. Flanagan Pond and Upper Flanagan Ponds are not yet listed as Great Ponds but may be reviewed in the future.

Except for two cove areas, most of Sandy Pond is sparsely vegetated, with a narrow perimeter band of moderately dense and predominantly native vegetation. Sandy Pond receives flow from Lower Long Pond and flows to Flannagan Pond.

Flannagan Pond receives flow from Sandy Pond and Pine Meadow Pond and flows into Balch Pond.
