9950 Katy Hockley Rd, Cypress, TX 77433
Official WebsiteThis entrance and road off Katy Hockley Rd is very productive for birding. Starting by the entrance and transformer structure look for resident and migratory warblers in the trees and shrubs on the fence line to the north (left), while scanning for sparrows and prairie species as well as raptors on the right. Feeders in front of the Education Center bring a wide variety of species. Walk the lake and wetland trails for abundant waterbirds, wading birds, shorebirds, and gulls and terns.
Great place for some more Western species as well as vagrant and irruptive species. Painted, Indigo, and Lark Bunting have been recorded.
