No need for a scope here since most of the birds can be seen with binoculars.
Behind the pickleball/tennis courts is an area where the neighboring land owner has cleared the vegetation along the fenceline a bit which gives nice views of the lake.
Look for Black-bellied Whistling Ducks and Mallards loafing in the back yards of the houses on the far side of the lake.
Walk the marshy/swampy area looking and listening for Lincoln's Sparrow, Marsh Wren and Swamp Sparrow.
In the winter, the view of the lake is looking south so the sun can be a problem.
After leaving the park, take a right on the frontage road (S. Clack Street) and then another right on Canyon Rock Road. Check out the lake from this view point on the east end with a completely different view of the water and what may be found there.
Reliable location for Black-bellied Whistling Ducks.
No trails. The park ground is firm enough that someone with a scooter might be able to navigate close to the fence to see into the lake and then along the fence line to walk the thick vegetation areas and access the marshy area.
