The best place in Madera county to view gulls, but from outside the landfill as it's not open to birders. The landowner to the south has confronted birders in the past who parked on the canal bank to view gulls sitting on the dirt bank near the trash dumping area (which moves around during the year) so be aware of potential conflicts with neighbors.
