This is a quick birding spot that is good for ducks. A scope is definitely needed as you can't go through the gate. Pull in the drive, park and scope from there. Then you can drive a little farther down the road and get a different view.

Ruddy Ducks, Shovelers. It's claim to fame is that there was a Long-tailed Duck that stopped by for a couple of weeks. 

When you turn off Frederick onto Kattner, it is located about 1.1 miles on the left.
