Official WebsiteThe Falmouth Wastewater Treatment Plant uses advanced biological treatment and ultraviolet disinfection to remove pollutants and pathogens from the water before discharging it into the Nantucket Sound. The plant also produces biosolids that are beneficially reused as fertilizer for local farms and gardens. The plant is operated by the Falmouth Department of Public Works and is regulated by the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
The Falmouth Wastewater Treatment Plant is adjacent to MA-28. The Service Road to the facility is accessible from Brik Kiln Road.
