Franklin Field, also known as Haramby Park, is a historic park located in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston. It was established in 1894 as one of the first public playgrounds in the city, and named after Benjamin Franklin, a native son of Boston. The park covers 65 acres and features athletic fields, a running track, a playground, a swimming pool, and a golf course. Franklin Field is home to several community events and programs, such as youth sports leagues, summer camps, concerts, and festivals.
