This reservation is formally called the Robert A. Pustell Reservation, after the avid environmentalist and member of Andover’s Conservation Commission for 25 years. The parcels that compose the Pustell Reservation were obtained by the Commission through land purchases and donations of open space from developers.

Spanning 118 acres, this property has a rolling terrain characterized by several wetlands and certified vernal pools. Wildlife abounds throughout Pustell, where the matrix of mature woods and wetlands supports a variety of important native species.

Multiple road access points provide several options for hikes through this reservation. Access is available from Ballardvale Road, Arcadia Road, the end of the Regency Ridge cul-de-sac, the wood road continuation of Sunset Rock Road, the Carter Lane cul-de-sac at the gate, and Powers Road. Pustell Reservation is available for passive recreational use such as hiking, birdwatching, and leashed dog walking. Bow hunting is also allowed for qualified individuals who hold a permit from the Town from October to December.

Parking for Pustell Reservation is available along Regency Ridge Road, Arcadia Road, Carter Lane, and Powers Road.
