Watch for sparrows in the shrubbery and birds along the fences like Blue Grosbeak.
Sparrows, western vagrants. On the corner of Pitts and Kuder Roads is a small historic cemetery. This area has a slightly more West-Texas habitat, with lots of prickly pear cacti. Because of this, this area can get rarities such as Brewer's Sparrow and Common Ground Dove. Harris' and White-crowned Sparrows are fairly easy to find here.
This hotspot refers to the entirety of Pitts and Kuder Roads. There isn't a very good shoulder to park on, but it is not heavily trafficked. Please respect anyone curious about what you are doing. The cemetery occasionally has cleanups as well, which will keep birding from being very fruitful.
