Roy Carpenter’s Beach is a community of summer cottages off Cards Pond Road in Matunuck, Rhode Island. The group of 377 cottages is spaced close together on numbered rows east and west of a path leading to the ocean. The community offers a unique, family-oriented atmosphere. Most cottage owners live at the beach all summer and many cottages are passed down within their families, from one generation to the next.
