The Tuolumne River flows through Stanislaus County from the base of La Grange Dam to its confluence with the San Joaquin River at Dos Rios. Between the Old La Grange Bridge and the Mitchel Road bridge, the river is divided into hotspots that are five river miles long or shorter. The entire length of the river below La Grange Dam is navigable year around by Kayak or canoe, but caution is strongly advised whenever river flows are high. Please use these hotspots to report your sightings only when birding on the river or immediately alongside the river.
