Notable Trails

Peggy Mensinger Trail (Dry Creek Trail) is a paved shared use trail for shared pedestrian and bike use that runs along Dry Creek for 4.5 miles from Morton Boulevard and La Loma Avenue at the east end to Claus Road at Gomes Road at the west end. West to east, the trail passes through Moose Park, Kewin Park, Thousand Oaks Park, Dry Creek Regional Park (part), East La Loma Park, and Dry Creek Regional Park. There are several paved spurs and numerous dirt side trails along the creek and through wider portions of the various parks that are suitable for birding. Mountain bikers also use these side trails, so caution is advised. Mid-trail road access is available from a number of locations, including Coffee Road, Covena Avenue, N. Riverside Drive, Lincoln Avenue, and N. McClure Road. Trail access parking is available from N. Mortan Boulevard (Moose Park), the south end of Coffee Road at Scenic Drive (Monterosso Trailhead), Edgebrook Drive (East La Loma Park) and at the north end of N. McClure Rd.
