There are parking lots on each side of the busy four-lane highway, each convenient for one hot spot. Park on the north side of North Woolridge Road for the lake, or on the south side for the woods trails. You can walk safely under the highway through a tunnel connecting the two areas, so both sections can be birded without moving your car. The tunnel is near the south end of the lake.
This pair of hotspots provides two complimentary birding habitats. The "Loch" has a pond and riparian vegetation; and the "Park" has trails through forest.
